Basic Book Cover

Directions are for paper covered matt-board and could be any size.

  • These directions are for a small 3×3 accordion fold book.
  • Cut the decorative paper ½” larger than the matt-board,.
  • Glue the matt-board on the center back of the decorative paper.
  • With a sharp blade cut wide ‘V’s at each corner.
  • Spread glue on the flap-edge and on the matt-board.
  • Fold edges over matt-board smoothing edged and paper.
  • I prefer to paint on a layer of glue on the outside cover. Kind of an extra protection.
  • Plus the glue brings out the color more of the decorative cover paper.
  • Covers now ready for the book style binding you want.
